Mexico’s culinary capital\, people come from all over the world to study cooking\, Spanish and to enjoy an eternal spring-like climate. \nMany of you have discovered this fine city on our virtual tours. It is also rated one of the best destinations in the world. \nI have been travelling there for 25 years and my Dad wintered there four times. \n\nJanuary 12 – January 24\, 2023\n6 nights in this amazing city\, one night high in the mountains and three nights at the resort town of Huatulco. Enjoy all that Oaxaca has to offer with this cultural and culinary getaway. \n \nOur visit includes: \n\nA full cooking class with chef Oscar – remember\, chocolate comes from Mexico!\n1 hour Spanish lessons per day in Oaxaca (optional\, but worth it)\n2 excursions – Monte Alban (the first planned city in the Americas) & a full day out of the city.\nPlenty of free time to explore the city streets\, enjoy the flowers\, birds and shops at your leisure – oh and watch the sunset from any number of terraces\nLovely walking areas around the city and exercise opportunities\nFrom Oaxaca we will drive to the costal mountains for an overnight\, then down (way down) to the tropical coast.\nHuatulco is wonderful and safe. One of the youngest resorts in Mexico.\n\nTechnical Details: \n\nFly into Oaxaca (there are direct international flights through Houston & Dallas) On the 14th. Fly home from Huatulco Jan 24 (or stay on if you like)\nYou will need to take care of airport transfers\, we will take care of all other transport\nIn Oaxaca we’re planning to use a very clean 3+ star hotel walkable to everything (group loved it last year). We’re not including breakfast in Oaxaca this year as so many enjoyed walking to the park for a fresh juice!\nUp in the mountains the hotel will be very basic. This is the adventure night of your trip\nIn Huatulco we’ll stay at a nice hotel close to the beach\nCooking classes\, Spanish classes\, tours\, entrance fees all included and free time is a must – Oaxaca is very safe and I’ll take you for walks and organize a couple of group meals (not included)\nJanuary weather is almost always a blue sky in Oaxaca – warm days\, coolish nights (the city is in the mountains at 1550 metres (5000 feet))\nFinal price will depend upon numbers\, but budget $2000 USD pp for shared accommodation (plus flights)\nAirport transfers on your own\, unless we all arrive somewhere together\n\nMessage us ASAP for any questions or inquiries.\n\nBook Now
