Llamas hanging out at Machu Picchu
Twomey Travel Peru, 2017
Booking / Travel Details
Thank you for your interest in this fabulous trip to Peru 2017. We really are so excited.
People have begun booking their flights and we’ll cap the group size at 25 people max. There are already enough people signed up for a confirmed departure, but my costs are not fully covered until we get above 20 (so please promote :).
Arrival:
Please arrive in Lima whenever works on Oct. 29, 2017. We will arrange a transfer.
Departure:
We can have you to the airport the evening of Nov. 11, however many people are booking the morning of the 12th. There will be a slight extra charge for the last night in Lima, but we may as well enjoy a final Pisco Sour 🙂
Deposits and Details:
We ask you to send a $1000 USD deposit to one of two addresses (see below) by end of March, 2017. The Balance will be due 60 days before the holiday begins.
If you are in the UK we will use a rate of 1.25 ($1000 = £800), please send the deposit to:

Sarah can also help with flights: sarah.goss@hotmail.co.uk
In the US / Canada / elsewhere, please send a USD cheque to:
Patrick Twomey

Passport:
We will also need your full name (as per your passport), passport details (#, expiration, nationality). We will be booking two internal flights (Lima-Cuzco / Arequipa-Lima). We have budgeted $300 and that is the quote, but if the flights are more expensive due to late bookings, we will pass on the difference.
I am waiting for a final confirmation of the single supplement and will pass that along. Conversely, there will be a discount for triple rooms.
Altitude Sickness:
We have very specifically designed this tour to avoid altitude problems. We have three nights high up, but below 3000 meters. If you are affected by high, it will probably be en route to Lake Titicaca, but by then, we should all be feeling human and chewing coca leaves!
Packing:
As we’ll be all over the country, plan for warm days, cool evenings and lots of walking!
Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential. Some bug spray for Machu Picchu, but NO malaria tablets. Pack lightly ;).
Please pass the tour around – the travellers coming along are all interesting, fun and enthusiastic. Peru is a developing country, but it is a magical place. Obviously, Machu Picchu is a major highlight (hence two days), but hold-on for incredible Arequipa and certainly the sand dunes at Ica. Also the ‘poor-man’s Galapagos; Paracas!
Kind regards,
Patrick Twomey
