Northern Lights – March 2026

BY REQUEST and BY DESIRE – THE NORTHERN LIGHTS

(Early March 2026 – limited space)

Yellowknife is perhaps the best place on Earth to witness the lights in all their glory and March is THE month to experience the magic.

Our itinerary is perfect:

One night in Calgary
Three nights in Yellowknife
Three nights to experience beautiful Banff in the Winter

Upon arrival at our hotel in Calgary we will gather for a welcome dinner.
The following day we will fly up to the Capital of NWT (Northwest Territories).

March is the driest month of the year with the best chance of lights. Three nights offers a 98% chance.

Every evening after sunset we will leave on our heated coach and look up for the nights. Daytimes we will have walking tours and the opportunity to snowmobile, icefish and dogsled.  The true northern experience.

After a once in a lifetime experience up north, we fly back to Calgary and transfer to Banff.  March is quieter and snowy.  Town is perfect.  We will of course walk on frozen Lake Louise and visit the Bow Valley.
