Dear friends,
It has been far too long since our last newsletter. Firstly we hope this letter finds you healthy, happy and well!
It is cold and snowy here in the Canadian Rockies – should be perfect for our winter tours! The snow and coldis, in fact very welcome after another summer of forest fires.

Our next trip starts soon in Bogota, Colombia. I am so happy to be running a tour in that beautiful country. I first travelled to Colombia in 2010 when I was invited to Medellin for a tourism development conference.
Tourism is an indicator of peace and development. Colombia has finally emerged from years of conflict and deserves to be a major tourist destination.

This tour is priced at $4150 USD. If we pass 16 people, the price drops $200. Single Supplement is $595. While this is pricey for Twomey Travel, it represents excellent value – particularly including 5 train rides, breakfast and lunch every day!
Korea will be add-on city stay. I will book a very good hotel, a tour of the DMZ and otherwise, we will plan visits in the Seoul area.
Oh – and Finn is coming on the tour!

Iceland
By request, we have put together an outstanding Iceland tour in the highest season.

Again, Iceland is a very expensive country, so that is why we have included so much – including the Westmann Islands which you can read about more here:

This tour will be priced around $2950. We cannot specify dates until we pay a deposit!
Flights to Iceland are cheap and easy.
Other tours:
As the Travelsphere / Just You group now have fixed dates, I have accepted a series of tours far out. Some are already full – but do contact me if you are interested. Here is the current calender:
For those who are worried about my summer tours with Go Ahead or even Gate 1 – don’t worry 🙂 Those dates will be posted soon. I will specifically be leading a new Rockies tour with Go Ahead later July (no train – thank goodness).
Utah / Canyons – good friends and travellers have asked us to put together a canyons tour in MAY. At this point, I have just done a rough sketch, but 10 days – in and out of Vegas and including Palm Springs, Grand Canyon, Arches, Zion and Bryce! This will be relaxed and fun. Let me know if you are interested and we’ll make it happen (and affordably too)!

You may have noticed some design changes on our site. Companies have been asking about advertising, but honestly, we’d rather stay independent.
We do have a lot of design ideas and are working on a couple of e-books, but for now, we just appreciate all the support for this platform, for ethical travel and for friendship.
Our next step will probably be a forum… so please stay tuned!
Lastly, just a quick note about my Dad. He is well… or as well as can be. Dementia is terrible. I have learned that despite his limited communication, he hears and processes. It appears he will be with us for some time more – and has a good quality of life.
We are so thankful for our public health system here. Dignity in our final years should always be a human right.
